Hi All! I don't want to see this place go away, and I know that requires contributing more regularly. Thus, New Year's Resolution #1 - (setting an achievable goal) - post something (anything - even if it is to check in with a "no runs" update) at least twice a month. As much as I love working from home, there was a part of me that struggled through 2020, like many. Covid-19 sucked, but I got over it, mostly. I still seem to be having some issues. Running is harder than it should be. I just got back from what was supposed to be an easy 5 miler that just didn't feel easy. And like always, I can't tell if it's that or just that I'm about to turn 62 and the pages are turning. By the end of the year, I was done with half of the country. Glad to know that I’m not the only looking at a 2 mile 3x/week plan to get back into the swing of things! Lets do this!

For an easy mental boost, try switching to the much more impressive 3.21869 kilometers. I like the get out the door approach. Once you're past the first mile it gets easier. OK, it gets easier for me because I tend to quit, but still.

I kept running in December, but completely quit my job search (at least I am employed, but I need a career change...). Something had to give. But I spent a solid half hour (ok, not great, but I worked a full day from home too) working on it. Small bites...so the 2 mile goal sounds like a great plan to me.

Congratulations on the new degree. I remember when you started it and felt maybe you couldn't do it. But you just put your head down and did the work - and now you're done! I'm sure it will be a net-positive for your life - regardless of what happens with work.
