Riggers
So, I've been in an Asics for years now. I tried some Brooks and although I got used to them they were never as cushy as my Asics. I went back to an Asics Gel Nimbus in March but they've got over 700 miles on them so I needed a new pair... I ended up with Asics Dynaflow but I'm not in love. They just don't feel as comfortable and are sort of tight around the top of my foot. There are two main issues... Comfort and color. I'm completely opposed to all these bright girly colors. I have the gray gel nimbus and my store only carried the funky colors after that. I could just break down and buy the blue ones I sort of like off Asics' website but I actually find some Saucony I really like the look of. I'm a neutral. What brand do you wear? Why do you like them? I also tried on some Hokas and didn't love the heel thing. As an aside, my feet were killing me the day I tried on shoes and so nothing really felt "great." Cliff
I went to a local running store. I had been wearing Brooks Revenna, left with a new pair of Brooks Adrenaline. Sadly, they are grey, I am in to the funky colors, grey was all they had. I am not very observant on how they feel during a run, I am aware though of how they initially feel when I lace them up. I tried a bunch of different shoes and the guy helping me offered lots of great advice.
gdionelli
Local running stores are the best! Mine will order the shoe I choose in another color if they don't have have it. ( I am anti- pink and they generally stock all the women's shoes in pink.)
NavEng
I'm neutral and my LRS fitted me with Saucony Ride. They feel good. Since then I got a pair of Kinvara, which feel great. I have also used some models of New Balance that were pretty good
Dave
I don't switch shoes unless there's a problem. On my 14th pair of Cumuluses now.
MichaelV
To the OP - How long have you had the Dynaflows? Sometimes it takes a few runs. I've had shoes I didn't love at first, but I ended up loving them by the time I retired them. Sometimes the opposite is true. I run in Altras. I'm also a big believer in running in/rotating a few pairs of shoes. I'm not talking about 3 of the same model with the same amount of mileage on them. I'm talking about 3-4 different models with different amounts of miles. I think this could even be different brands and models as well. I think this strengthens your feet and legs, cuts down on injury, and saves money on shoes because I can get more miles out of a pair. The reason is it's ok to run in a pair of shoes with high miles if you're only running in them once per week or so. I nurse along the high mile shoes by only rotating them in occasionally and squeeze out a few more miles.
Riggers
I'm having a lot of numbness and discomfort along the tip of my foot still but it's too late to take them back so I guess I'm going to tough it out.

Numbness and discomfort are not good. Even if it's too late to take them back, it's not worth developing an injury.

This may be stupid, but...are you tying them too tight? I get numbness when I'm tying my shoes too tightly. I'm also a big Asics fan (particulary the Nimbus and Cumulus), but I also like the Mizuno Wave Riders. Similar in feel to the Cumulus, and I've had good luck with them. My son just got his girlfriend a pair of Brooks Ghost, and she loves them. I've never been a big Saucony fan.

I had a similar issue but now I do this with my laces. I miss the top of the foot.
Riggers
Good idea! The laces on mine finally got loose enough that it stopped happening! However; I just ordered new shoes on amazon this week because my hip pain is not going away. I'm thinking it's an issue with worn out shoes. I love the Gel Nimbus but I found these white Cumulus on sale for $21 on amazon last week and bought a pair. I've decided I'm going to keep a second set of shoes that I don't worry about "look" and just wear because I can't afford my own shoe habit anymore. I mean... we've been spending $100-$150 a pair of shoes x 5 women x 3-4 times a year. I found a pair of Asics for my 8 year old for $26 as well but the other 3 ended up with a Saucony for about $47. Hopefully they like them because I didn't really find anything else in the right sizes and pronation/whatnot.
Running Loopy
I think you'll like the Cumulus. They are very similar in feel to the Mizuno Wave Riders (which I also love). Not as "cushy" as the Nimbus, but lighter and more responsive.
