Pad thai, peach pie and trails... oh my!

The first two things I had for lunch. The last thing I had for a run/walk/hike/whatever the heck it is I'm doing these days.

Gratuitous nature shots!

I ran a bit less than I was hoping but didn't stress out about it. The weather was perfect and I saw only one other person so it was really relaxing. I lost myself a few times just chugging along and thinking... love it when that happens.

Something that didn't quite work: I may need to get some new shirts sometime soon because this whole situation seems inappropriate.

Something that totally worked: Chewie is a good boy and knows how to use the hydration pack.

Totals, charts, splits and elevation! I didn't hit pause for any Chewie potty breaks but I'm not trying to impress anyone with my blazing fast times, haha.

I had it in my mind to do this today and found myself waffling midafternoon whether to do it or not. Then I thought about what I could post and immediately went and got it done. So this new site has at least one confirmed positive effect!

Beautiful trails! I should try to get out on hikes (not sure my coordination levels are good enough for running on anything but the smoothest trails)

Beautiful nature photos, cute dog and in my opinion, nothing inappropriate about that, way to go!

You could make a game of "Find Chewie" with some of those pictures.
Good job getting out and getting some miles!

Definitely inappropriate (I assume you mean what appears to be a power line running through those beautiful woods).

How did you teach Chewie to drink that way??? My dog freaks out if I try that and tries to eat the hose.

Beautiful scenery. I also love that Chewie is so far in front of you in the pics, like "come on mom!" I know another dog like that 9_9

I doubt any normal decent person can be offended by a baby bump!

I have a yorkie, too. He thinks he's a St. Bernard.

Mine thinks he's half cat, half alpha pack leader.

I've only ever fallen twice on trails so I'm usually pretty blase about the footing but I'm definitely taking it easier across the nasty bits now that falling would be an entirely more serious matter.

It's Sportsbrasquad time!

Oh god lol I was never comfortable doing that even post-P90X body, don't think I could swing that now! But who knows, might become a necessity haha. It's hard finding maternity workout shirts that aren't cotton and everything I have found has been so insanely expensive.

That line is actually the retractable leash that's attached to the chest strap of my pack. Chewie is really good about staying near me on trails but most of where I was has a leash rule and if he does get distracted and chase something, his recall is absolutely terrible. Better to be safe.

I honestly didn't, his little brain has got some serious deducting powers and he figured it out himself. I offered it to him maybe like 3x before he realized what was happening and now it's super easy because I don't waste any water and don't have to carry any extra gear for him to drink out of. Lol don't let your dog destroy the bite valve!! Ahh!

Haha Chewie and Charlie are one in the same in that aspect. I can hear him sighing as he looks back at me like, are you seriously this slow, LET'S GO!!!

I never ended up buying any maternity workout gear but did get a few cheap shirts in a larger size (yeah Kohl's!) because you'll probably also need these in the few months after baby, or at least I did...and I didn't want to be wearing maternity stuff then! I also stole shirts from DH's closet which really made me feel great about myself lol.

Actually, the biggest danger to the bite valve is The Wife. She is mechanically challenged, and constantly confuses the bite valve with another system we have with a push/pull valve. The results are comical.
